A more polite, cryptic and fun way of telling off the world.

Hahahaha!

That's great, but you might want to think about making the middle finger a little more prominent. You can't really tell what the tee means right now.
faerydust88
faerydust88 on Jul 03 '08
that's pretty clever
although for an F chord i generally barre the first fret and play the third fret on the A and D string
either way works i suppose
$5/buy : )

I agree the middle finger playing the F chord would really add something to this idea which i actually think is a pretty smart way to flip someone off with words on a shirt. The illo needs a bit more to both sides I feel, but nice work.

i like the concept, but im not sure about the typo
anyway, good idea

i think this is good advice. Spread the message of the joys of playing the f chord.

Artm8ker on Jul 04 '08
Cool Idea. Might be a little lost on us out here that know that don't know where the "F' chord is exactly. Though, the overall message is still there.

I like this one, but its definitely for a guitarist. It took me a bit to get it, but definitely something worth buying.

cool... not many people would get it though-it might be clearer
if you did the more regular bar chord F

It's a good but limited concept. Congrats, even if it doesn't succeed. If it does, you're awesome.

I love the concept, but something feels like it's missing...

Maybe it's the color..

beef up your drawing a bit and it's quite funny!

very clever, but yeah the execution needs a lil' something to make the idea bit more obvious.

Love this design - subtle but very funny if you are in the know.

Purple Max on Jul 06 '08
I prefer the subtle approach tho I do agree the more prominent middle finger be funny
don't wear much yellow tho
Super Noob Question- Why aren't tees available in multiple colors? (is that another design challenge thing?people naturally respond differnetly to color, look at synesthesia for example)
schoog
schoog on Jul 06 '08
as a pretty lousy guitarist myself, i only know the bar chord version of "f," but i guess loads of more skilled musicians would get the more subtle version, so it's your call. either way, i love this idea!

cayutiepotatoes on Jul 07 '08
this is great... at first i didn't get it.. because i dont pla.. and yea ppl are saying about the middle finger being used for f.. but that would give it away and no one would care about the guitar.. its just right the way it is.
rebekkathefairy
rebekkathefairy on Jul 07 '08
This is brilliant! ignore all the people saying they don't get it at first cuz they dont know what the chord is....
It's sooo much better if not everyone gets it!

Obscure tees FTW!

Clever way of sending a message.
Harfangoria
Harfangoria on Jul 07 '08
My first thought was, "if it's an F, wouldn't it be a bar chord?" So yeah, making the middle finger alot more prominent would stress the note. I thought it was supposed to be a chord.

love the idea, but only a few people would actually understand it.

Moby Peterson on Jul 08 '08
perhaps make the middle finger and the word "off" a different colour. that way they both stand out more?

i do like the idea though.

Why would I fmaj7 someone?
certifiedx
certifiedx on Jul 08 '08
Oh Robotic Moose, you wouldn't. But what does that have to do with the traditional "F" chord on this t-shirt. An Fmaj7 would have the high "E" open. Nice try, but before you call me out, please know your chords :) - don't worry my friend, they usually don't get to that until the second guitar lesson ;)

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Very funny. Honestly, I think "U" would be funnier than "off"

i B i S on Jul 10 '08
Mad good; it's funny, at first I thought it meant to convey "pluck off" (obviously I'm no guitarist as I realized the hand is on the f chord, ja?) which I thought was clever (*uck & pluck? duh, right?); once I started reading what the others felt like saying, I was like, "ohhhh, gotcha, ' F Off!'' i wanted to submit my little story here cuz I thought it was relavent (again, I now realize one doesn't pluck the... thee uh... the frets{?} [again, not a guitarist ^_^] but symbolically that's what it spoke to me as initially...

GOOD CLEAN FUNN!: $5!

ps: i realize there are GRIPS of guitar players out there whom, I have no doubt, would get it quicker than I relying on the observation skills of those like them... PEACE!
